Trina Peterson
Policy Director
Trina Peterson has a multi-faceted background as an entrepreneur (V.P. Marketing and Strategy for SweetWater, Inc.), venture capitalist (V.P. Evergreen Management), business strategy consultant (Boulder Research Associates), and professional fundraiser (Director of Development for 1% for the Planet). She graduated from Princeton University with an A.B. in Political Science and earned her MBA from Dartmouth's Tuck School. She has served on the executive committees of numerous nonprofit boards, including as vice-chair of The National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS) and as current chair of Climate Ride. She was delighted to return to the Forum in 2017 having done previous Forum project work in the 1990's and 2000's. Her two terrific adult children are her greatest joy.
Tookie Wilson
Policy Manager
Tookie Wilson graduated with a B.S. in Environmental Engineering from Tufts University in 2022, where she was also a DIII Soccer All-American. Prior to joining the Forum staff, Tookie worked at an Environmental Engineering firm, where she contributed to scientific research papers and regulatory reports for the Department of Environmental Protection. She excels at translating complex data for non-technical stakeholders. Tookie has a strong background in environmental compliance and sustainable solutions. She is passionate about promoting environmental stewardship and engaging with her community, reflecting the Forum’s dedication to collaborative and long-term solutions for Colorado. In her spare time, she enjoys outdoor pursuits such as hiking and biking, and training for upcoming marathons and triathlons.
Mackenzie Tennery
Chief of Staff
Originally from Dallas, Texas, Mackenzie holds a Master of Information and Library Studies and a BA in Art History from the University of Oklahoma. She and her husband, Ian, enjoy life in Littleton with their delightful daughter, Margot. When she’s not working, Mackenzie loves exploring new cookbooks, diving into a good book, and enjoying the great outdoors with her family.
Mackenzie plays a lead role in organizing and managing events and meetings, ensuring everything is executed smoothly and aligns with the organization’s mission. Her responsibilities include high-level planning, facilitating clear and effective communication, and encouraging collaboration throughout the organization. Additionally, she oversees bookkeeping, the daily operations of the office, and handles various administrative tasks, working to ensure a well-organized and efficient environment for the entire team.
