Jack Pottle, a Denver native, is the principal and manager of JBC Capital Partners, a private investment company active in real estate, private equity and early stage venture investments. He also serves as a Managing Director of Viridian Investment Partners, a Denver based private equity firm. He serves on the boards of two Denver area companies—Boulder Imaging (machine vision/AI imaging systems) and The Family Jones (a Lower Highlands distillery and restaurant).

Pottle is active in the Denver real estate market, in both residential and commercial properties. He has invested in several highly successful projects including—36th and Osage, Tejon34, the LoHi Marketplace and the Airedale Building in the Ballpark neighborhood. He has also redeveloped three historic commercial buildings in Sunnyside including Cobbler’s Corner, which received the Mayor’s Design Award from the City of Denver for it’s innovative re-envisioning of an historic neighborhood commercial property.

Jack Pottle has over 35 years experience in the cable television and telecommunications industries. Pottle served as Chief Executive Officer of FiberNet, LLC, a CLEC that operated in West Virginia and surrounding states. Fibernet was founded in 1998 and under Pottle’s direction became one of the largest telephone companies in West Virginia, with annual revenue in excess of $25 million. Fibernet was sold in 2005 to Conversent Holdings, Inc.

Prior to managing FiberNet, Pottle was President and Chief Operating Officer of Fanch Communications, Inc., a cable television multiple systems operator that grew to approximately 600,000 subscribers before its 1999 sale to Charter Communications.

Pottle previously served as Vice President of Operations for Rifkin & Associates, a cable television operating company and as a consultant, partner and director of Browne, Bortz & Coddington, Inc., a media-consulting firm.

Mr. Pottle is a graduate of Colorado College with a degree in Political Economy and received his Masters degree in Economics from the University of Colorado. He is a recipient of the Colorado College Lloyd E. Worner Award for outstanding loyalty and service to the school.

Pottle is active in the community, having served on the boards of Colorado College, Young American’s Bank, Lalmba and Escuela de Guadalupe (where he also served as Interim President). He and his family actively support several local non-profits, principally focused on education, homelessness and food security. The family also works in the international arena and has sponsored development projects in Ghana, Jordan, Kenya, Ethiopia and Malawi.

Pottle is a life long distance runner, currently competing as a member of the Boulder Road Runners Masters 60-69 national racing team.
