Chair, Colorado Open Lands
Paul Phillips has practiced environmental and land use law, policy and litigation for more than 40 years, and now focuses on Colorado land and water conservation. From 2000 to 2008, Paul served on the Management Committee of the law firm Holland & Hart, ultimately as its Chair/Managing Partner, overseeing substantial Colorado and Rocky Mountain growth. He is a Fellow of the American College of Environmental Lawyers.
Mr. Phillips has served on the boards of the Colorado Legal Aid Foundation, the Colorado Lawyers Committee, the Colorado Plateau Archeological Alliance, and other civic organisations. Currently, Paul serves as Board Chair of Colorado Open Lands, a statewide land trust known for innovative land and water conservation and restoration projects throughout Colorado.
Mr. Phillips loves hiking and backpacking in the Colorado Rockies, bagging the easy 14ers, rafting the desert canyons of Colorado and Utah, and restoring a long-neglected orchard and hay fields in Taos, New Mexico.
