Buck is a founder and the CEO of Griffis/Blessing, Inc. Since its inception in 1985, Buck has led all aspects of the company's dramatic growth, directing the acquisition of properties with a cumulative value of over $2 billion. He is an authority in the real estate industry with extensive expertise in investment strategy and real estate markets.
Committed to the Colorado community, he currently serves on the Board of Trustees for the Museum of Contemporary Art Denver, and the Board of Trustees for Colorado Academy. He also participates as a member of Colorado Forum, Colorado Concern, YPO & CEO.
His past involvement includes serving as a Director of UMB Bank; Children’s Hospital of Colorado Foundation Board of Directors; President of the Board for the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center; Co-Chair of the Pikes Peak United Way Alexis De Tocqueville Society; Chairman of the Pikes Peak Region Better Business Bureau; President of the Colorado Springs Downtown Partnership; Chairman of the Colorado Springs Community Development Advisory Board; President of the Southern Colorado Chapter of the Institute of Real Estate Management; Chairman of the Colorado College Business and Community Alliance; President of the Business of Arts Center Board of Trustees; board member of Grand Lake Yacht Club; and board member of Grand Lake Sailing Foundation.
In 1997, Buck was appointed to the Colorado Real Estate Commission by Governor Romer and re-appointed by Governor Owens in 2000, serving for six years, including two years as the Chair. In 2009, he was appointed to the Colorado State Land Board by Governor Ritter and reappointed by Governor Hickenlooper in 2012 and served as its President until June 2016.
Buck’s professional and civic recognitions include the Colorado Springs Chamber of Commerce "Small Business Person of the Year," one of Colorado Springs Business Journal's "40 New Leaders 40 and Under,” and recipient of the Colorado College Business and Community Alliance Partner in Service Award.
Buck graduated from The Lawrenceville School in 1981 and The Colorado College in 1985 with a BA degree in History.
