Matthew Burkett, founder of The Flyfisher Group, is also the Chairman and CEO. Burkett is a serial entrepreneur with a proven track record for unlocking value in opportunity. Burkett got his start as a lobbyist in Washington, D.C., founded his first company in 1996 in Denver and has founded more than twenty-five companies in his over twenty-year career. The Burkett Family Office, which he established in 2006, is the primary capital partner of The Flyfisher Group. Through his family office, Burkett has personally invested in more than one-hundred pieces of real estate and in over fifty small and medium-sized businesses.

He gives back through the Burkett Family Foundation (which he established with his wife in 2010), Lincoln Hills Cares Foundation and River Deep Foundation which he co-founded, Denver Museum of Nature & Science as a Trustee, Visit Denver as a board member and member of the executive committee and as a Mayoral appointee and board member for the Denver Hotel and Convention Center Authority.
