David Braemer
Head of School, Kent Denver School

David Braemer joined Kent Denver in 2022 as the 15th Head of School in the combined history of Kent Denver School, Kent School for Girls, and Denver Country Day. David came to Kent Denver from Ensworth School in Nashville, Tennessee, where he was Head of School from 2012 until 2022. His career in independent school leadership also includes serving as Upper School Head at Greenhill School in Dallas and Dean of Students at Durham Academy in North Carolina. A teacher at heart, David has taught history and social studies at Greenhill, Durham Academy, Blair Academy in New Jersey, Culver Academies in Indiana and at urban public schools in Boston and Lawrence, Massachusetts.

A graduate of Amherst College with a BA in History and Boston College with an M.Ed in urban education, David has also been involved in a number of community organizations throughout his professional career.. Most recently, he served on the Board of Directors of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Middle Tennessee and The Friends of Warner Parks in Nashville, as well as the Education Council of the Frist Art Museum in Nashville. David and his wife Timiny have three children.
